Lead Cybersecurity Engineer, Cloud Focus

Requirements

• 6+ years of practical experience in security engineering roles
• 1+ year of practical experience in software engineering
• Strong grasp of security principles, software development, identity access management, networking, and application security
• Extensive hands-on experience with Zero Trust methodologies and Secure Service Edge platforms (Cloudflare, Cisco, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks)
• Proficiency in Python, REST APIs, and data formats (JSON, CSV, XML)
• Experience in security automation (SOAR, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code)
• Familiarity with Azure and AWS environments
• Knowledge of IAM/PIM solutions (Entra , Cyber Ark, Okta, Auth0)
• Skills in Linux and Windows administration
• Experience with SIEM platforms (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Rapid7)
• Expertise in Vulnerability Management platforms (Qualys, Rapid7, Tenable)
• Understanding of Dev Ops methodologies and principles
• Familiarity with Next-Generation Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Sophos, Checkpoint)
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, SOX, NIST, CIS 18)
• Experience with EDR platforms (Microsoft, Crowd Strike, Sentinel One)
• Familiarity with DLP solutions (Microsoft Purview, Symantec, Trellix)
• Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and concepts in prompt engineering
• Strong analytical, communicative, and documentation abilities
• Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively with diverse technical teams
• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CCSP, OSCP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Security Engineer Associate, CCNA, Hashi Corp Certified:
  Terraform Associate

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and uphold enterprise-level security solutions in line with Zero Trust and Secure Service Edge principles
• Spearhead the development and automation of security controls utilizing Python, REST APIs, and modern Dev Ops pipelines (CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, SOAR)
• Engineer integrations among security platforms, infrastructure, and applications to enhance visibility, detection, and response capabilities
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (infrastructure, software, IAM, Dev Ops) to embed security within architecture and development workflows
• Manage and refine SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Management, and DLP platforms
• Assist in the configuration and governance of IAM and PIM platforms (Entra , Okta, Cyber Ark, Auth0)
• Provide technical leadership in evaluating, deploying, and tuning Zero Trust and SSE platforms (Cloudflare, Cisco, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks)
• Drive ongoing enhancements in automation, detection engineering, and response playbooks
• Contribute to compliance initiatives (PCI DSS, SOX, NIST, CIS 18) through engineering, documentation, and evidence collection
• Investigate and prototype the application of Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering for cybersecurity automation and analysis
• Mentor junior engineers and enhance security standards, processes, and technical documentation
