The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong background in financial systems and market data applications. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of mission-critical applications across web, mobile, and API platforms. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to identify issues, design comprehensive test plans, and safeguard the user experience.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings sharp problem-solving skills, and has a proven track record in diagnosing and preventing issues in complex systems.

Responsibilities
  • Validate financial data functionality, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and system integrity
  • Diagnose application issues by analyzing application logs, reviewing server stats, and system behavior
  • Collaborate with developers and Dev Ops to triage and resolve defects
  • Write clear, detailed bug reports with supporting artifacts to enable quick resolution
  • Test backend integrations, ensuring data accuracy across Postgre

    SQL, Informix, MySQL, and related databases
  • Ensure test coverage in continuous integration environments
  • Maintain strong documentation of test cases, results, and defect trends
  • Contribute to quality best practices across the SDLC and mentor others on QA standards
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in QA, with exposure across web, mobile, and API testing
  • Have a deep understanding of data/event-driven systems and be excellent at coding
  • Hands‑on experience in financial systems and/or market data environments
  • Strong knowledge of Xpath, CSS selectors, HTML, XML, and JSON
  • Proficiency in SQL and 2–3 years of experience working with relational databases (Postgre

    SQL, Informix, MySQL)
  • Ability to analyze system logs, identify bottlenecks, and proactively flag performance or stability issues
  • Experience in a CI/CD environment and familiarity with version control tools (Git)
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing practices, and SDLC
  • Strong Linux knowledge and comfort with command line debugging
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and explain complex issues clearly

Job is 100% Remote. Please make sure you have a comfortable office set at your desired work location.

Location: This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must be based in regions that align with the Pacific, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration with client and team schedules.
