Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Utilities Department.
Reporting to the Professional Services Manager, this role works closely with the team of consultants on projects in the electric, gas, telecommunications and water utility markets. They contribute to the ongoing business operations of the company by effectively providing high-level management and delivery of assigned consulting projects and other client services. They are also responsible to prepare scope of work and provide expertise and/or guidance in project management involving user needs analysis, design, development and implementation of the client solution.
This role is fully remote within Canada.

A day in the life of a Project Manager at Esri Canada- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of enterprise consulting projects, from planning and scoping through implementation, closeout, and lessons learned.
- Define and manage project scope, priorities, schedules, deliverables, and acceptance criteria in alignment with client and business objectives.
- Facilitate effective collaboration and consensus among cross‑functional stakeholders, including clients, business analysts, developers, and account managers.
- Manage project financials, including budgets, expenditures, resourcing considerations, and ongoing status reporting.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and change impacts to ensure successful outcomes.
- Apply and promote project management standards, methodologies, and quality management practices, including QA and testing oversight.
- Lead stakeholder governance activities, including communications, expectation management, and formal sign‑off on key deliverables.
- Support business development and consulting growth initiatives through client negotiations, solution scoping, and business analysis.
- University degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in project management.
- 2+ years of experience in the Utility market (electric, gas, telecommunications or water utility markets).
- Experience working with GIS software in project management, consulting or operations role.
- Strong understanding of GIS‑based applications and demonstrated knowledge of Esri products and solutions.
- Proven experience applying modern project management tools, techniques, and methodologies across multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, high ‑ quality statement of work, project documentation and deliverables.
- Strong problem‑solving, leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Excellent consulting skills, with the ability to advise, guide, and produce quality client outcomes.
- Customer‑focused approach with the ability to collaborate effectively within cross‑functional teams.
- Strong time management, delegation, and multitasking skills in fast‑paced project environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including with technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Bilingual English/French is considered an asset.

This role offers a base salary range of $84,900 to $105,600 annually, determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
