This team also contributes to the creation of frameworks and applications for both Associates and Members. What you'll do...

Sam's Club Innovation & Gen AI is building the technology that will define how our members shop and how our associate’s work. We develop new capabilities that make the Sam's Club experience seamless for members and more efficient for associates—at home office and across our 600+ clubs.

As part of this team, you will work on frameworks and applications used by both Associates and Members, design and ship state-of-the-art solutions in-house and with strategic partners and help shape our rapidly evolving Gen AI and innovation ecosystem. You will have the opportunity to work on high-impact, pioneering solutions and to be at the forefront of retail innovation and Gen AI.

We are seeking a Senior Manager, AI Agentic Systems & Orchestration to lead the strategy, development, and deployment of next‑generation agentic AI solutions. You will guide a team of engineers and applied scientists in building scalable AI workflows, orchestrated agent systems, and autonomous capabilities that transform retail and operations processes. This role is ideal for a leader with both deep technical expertise and strong organizational influence.

Define and drive the long-term vision for agentic AI, orchestration frameworks, and autonomous workflow platforms.

Lead and grow a high-performing team of engineers and applied scientists.

Collaborate with senior stakeholders across engineering, product, and operations to align roadmap and strategic priorities.

Architect large-scale agentic workflows, multi-agent systems, and orchestration layers.

Guide selection and adoption of frameworks such as Lang Graph, MCP, A2A, Camunda, and others.

Oversee development of RAG and RAG-for-tools systems enabling high-quality, grounded reasoning.

Lead end-to-end delivery of agent-based and orchestration-driven solutions.

Create engineering best practices for agentic workflows and autonomous systems.

Ensure consistent delivery, quality, and scalability across implementations.

Translate operational challenges into AI-driven workflow automation opportunities.

Collaborate with product managers to shape requirements, prioritize work, and evaluate ROI.

Partner with operations leaders to ensure solutions address real-world needs.

Drive experimentation, evaluation, and rapid prototyping of new techniques and platforms.

Advocate for responsible, safe, and scalable applied AI practices.
