Department Systems Analyst Programmer III​/II​/Part time Underfill

Under direction of assigned supervisor, manager or director, provides complex analytical support, maintenance and/or modification of existing systems and development of new modules/functions in one or more areas/systems. Provides coordination with the Information Technology Department serving as liaison between business users and information technology staff, vendors and service providers; and performs related work as required.

This position will be for the Budget Department in the City Treasurer’s Office, focusing on reporting in Oracle Fusion. Normal daily duties may include project management, systems analysis, Oracle OTBI and BI Publisher report writing, as well as responding to questions, writing requirements, and implementing solutions for the Budget team in Oracle EPM.

Please note: This position is part‑time, and unclassified, meaning it is at‑will and serves at the discretion of the City. These positions have limited benefits as required by law.

Applicants who do not meet all the minimum requirements for the Department Systems Analyst/Programmer III position may be considered for an underfill as a Department Systems Analyst II or I, depending on applicant qualifications. If the position is underfilled, the salary offered would be commensurate with the lower level classification.

Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid‑point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. Although the full salary range is listed above, the salary range to midpoint for each position is listed below.

Salary: $36.80 – $43.24

• Associate’s Degree is required.
• One year of experience working directly on computer‑based information systems software, with a focus on system administration and management.
• Any equivalent combination of education and/or job‑related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.

• Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver’s license with no major citations within the past 39 months prior to the start date. The Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles requires that out‑of‑state driver’s licenses be surrendered within 10 days of relocating to Arizona.
• Must obtain and maintain a Level D – Technical Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (ACJIS) Network Terminal Operator certification. Training is provided on duty and testing is completed within first six months of hire.
• Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in Arizona during active employment, regardless of remote work approval.

Salary: $40.58 – $47.67

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Three years of experience directly working on computer‑based information systems software and programming/scripting languages in support of medium enterprise applications.
• Any equivalent combination of education and/or job‑related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.
