Overview
Position Title: Security IDaaS Engineer (Remote)
Location: Remote – Must reside near one of the following cities:
Richmond, VA;
Boston, MA;
New York City, NY;
Philadelphia, PA;
Cleveland, OH;

St. Louis, MO;
Minneapolis, MN;
Kansas City, MO;
Dallas, TX;
San Francisco, CA
Work Authorization - U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder (minimum 3 years)
Position Status: 18-Month Contract (Potential Extension or Conversion)
Pay Rate: $70–$80/hour
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and support secure authentication and authorization services
- Build and maintain IDaaS and IAM platforms, including federation integrations
- Configure and secure application integrations using SAML, OAuth, and modern identity standards
- Manage identity lifecycle processes (provisioning, deprovisioning, governance, access controls)
- Create automation scripts using Power Shell, APIs, and automation tools
- Monitor and resolve incidents following established change management practices
- Strengthen enterprise security posture through access policies, controls, and risk mitigation strategies
- Support disaster recovery and incident response initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes and improve deployment speed
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor team members and promote identity security best practices
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in IAM, IDaaS, or Identity Security Engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong production experience with Okta or comparable IDaaS platform
- Deep knowledge of authentication and federation protocols (OAuth, SAML, OIDC)
- Experience securing IAM within cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure)
- Expertise in Identity Management (IDM), Identity Governance (IGA), and RBAC models
- Scripting and automation experience (Power Shell, APIs, Postman or similar tools)
- Familiarity with Agile delivery environments
- Master’s degree in a technical discipline
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP, CSF)
- Experience with Microsoft Entra, Saviynt, or similar identity platforms
- REST API integration or development experience
- Python scripting skills
- Understanding of networking and infrastructure security concepts
