Overview
SHC Federal is seeking a senior Service Now Test Engineer to lead end-to-end testing and drive automation maturity, including expansion of Service Now ATF within CI/CD pipelines.
Required:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- 10+ years of experience performing end-to-end Service Now manual testing
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Git Lab, Git Hub Actions, and Atlassian Bamboo
- Experience with Selenium for automation testing
- Experience with Power Shell and Bash scripting
- Comfortable reading and interpreting Python, JavaScript, and SQL
- Experience packaging tests into suites for smoke and regression execution
- Experience setting up Linux and Windows test environments
, executing test cases, and tracking defects - Working experience with component, application, integration, and performance testing procedures and criteria
- Experience defining acceptance criteria and coordinating/executing UAT
- Experience with requirements traceability and maintaining a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
Strongly Preferred / Highly Desired:
- Hands-on experience with Service Now Automated Test Framework (ATF), including creation, maintenance, and execution of automated test suites
- Experience designing and implementing automation strategy within Service Now environments
- Experience transitioning programs from manual testing to automated testing frameworks
- Experience integrating ATF with CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation
Responsibilities
- Execute unit/component test procedures for all project components
- Create and execute integration, regression, user acceptance, and performance test procedures
- Conduct component integration testing, including performance/throughput benchmarking, fault tolerance, interface compliance, and functional completeness
- Support production break/fix and enhancement efforts (requirements review, test formulation, scenario prep, execution, reporting)
- Document and analyze test results; produce status reports; support defect management
- Perform independent requirement analysis and create high-quality test artifacts (test plans, cases, reports)
- Assist with technical artifacts including RTM, Use Cases, UI Specs, and migration plans
- Estimate testing efforts and provide input to project master schedules
- Report testing results to architecture teams and stakeholders
- Monitor and manage defects through resolution; ensure proper retesting
- Run performance benchmarks, conduct performance tuning, and support capacity planning models
- Provide data reprocessing testing and validation metrics
- Participate in CCB process and defect/change tracking
- Drive automation strategy and process improvements, including implementation and expansion of Service Now ATF capabilities
- Provide demonstrations to staff and customers as needed
