This position is based at our Northshore location (2077 Town Center Blvd in Knoxville, TN 37922). Hybrid/Remote — in the office 1–2 days/week. This is not a fully remote position. The Final date to receive applications for this opportunity is March 2, 2026.
RoleTableau Data Reporting Analyst is responsible for creation, support and maintenance of reports and dashboards for ORNL Federal Credit Union. Also responsible for management and optimization of databases including creation, updates, deletions and quality assurance of imported data. Responsible for the design, coding and implementation of organizational systems data extraction processes and documentation. Identifies strategic and systematic opportunities and partners with business leaders to identify and implement short‑term and long‑term strategies identified to improve efficiency, reduce expenses, increase member engagement, or improve integrity of data through the utilization of automation.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Decision Support:
Presents findings and insights in a clear, actionable format to support stakeholder decision‑making. Creates ad hoc reports, dashboards, self‑service reports, and visualizations that effectively communicate key metrics and trends. - Ensures the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data used in analysis and reporting while supporting data governance, data quality, and documentation standards.
- Designs, provides oversight to implementation, administers and maintains organizational data warehouse and ongoing data integrity to improve access to information from disparate systems. Verifies code, writes code and tests various programming for extracts and establishes data tables for import into data warehouse. Serves as the subject matter expert related to translating business requirements to physical warehouse database structure and architecting the movement of data throughout the system originating from external and internal sources.
Architects data migration strategy for systems. Develops standards that govern the strategy to collect data. Manages upgrades, modifications, maintenance and troubleshooting of systems. Executes code for analysis and manages data feeds to test and production environments. Troubleshoots/debugs systems code based on immediate need. Secures data assets through enforcing and improving controls and system best practices. - Analyzes complex business issues, incorporating company and industry knowledge, mathematical and technological expertise, and sound analytical processes. Conducts statistical analysis, modeling, and other quantitative techniques. Identifies issues and/or recommends courses of action in the course of analysis. Conducts data analysis for multiple projects aimed at identifying and implementing changes to current business practices related to complicated analytical duties, including marketplace, operational, and financial objectives.
- Responsible for preparation of reports for Executive Leadership with strict deadlines and recommendation of strategies for efficiency improvements.
- Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
Four or more years of experience in business intelligence analysis, data analytics or information technology and one or more years of experience working in a financial institution is required. Working knowledge of data architecture, database design, data modeling and data warehousing required. Must possess basic knowledge of banking, database design development and programming code/systems mining. Experience working in Excel and databases such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, Aurora, Redshift, My SQL, etc.
is required. Experience in marketplace and/or operational analysis, cloud sequel/storage, and ETL knowledge preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer programming, business intelligence, finance or statistics, or equivalent years of related experience is required.
