- Operate the department's airplane and camera for aerial photography data collection
- Process raw LiDAR data using post-processing software to create geo-referenced files
- Identify data voids, validate data sets, and adjust accuracy for flight lines
- Utilize department software for processing LiDAR and aerial photography data
- Prepare for LiDAR data collection and set up flight mission planning for mapping tasks
- Two years of experience in geographic information systems (GIS), digital mapping, surveying technology, or aerial photography; OR
- Twelve semester hours in a computer science, GIS, or geospatial field plus one year of relevant experience; OR
- A bachelor’s degree with twelve semester hours in a computer science, GIS, or geospatial field
- Experience with post-processing LiDAR software and aerial photography systems
- Familiarity with flight mission planning for mapping projects
- Knowledge of GPS and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) integration in data processing
