The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems support team at one of our Georgia locations.
Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site.Note: This position requires a minimum of 50% travel equating to approximately 180 days per year. - Supporting establishment of the Windows Server security infrastructure design, implementation, and migration planning and fielding.
- Supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2016/ 2019 platform and functions
- Managing the Microsoft Endpoint Manager system (SCCM/ MECM platform) to support customer requests for agent installation and tuning monitors and rules.
- Participating in new installations, testing and special projects as needed.
- Exhibiting excellent communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers.
- Performing as a Windows System Administrator for a classified government contract.
- Maintaining smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management.
- Supporting multiple networks.
- Ensuring necessary administration tasks are completed, directing others as necessary.
- Recommending and implementing system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
- Creating and maintaining computer user and accounts and modifying file permissions and security access lists.
- Testing new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
- Developing and documenting technical processes and procedures as needed.
- Adhering to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.
- Maintaining security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
