This is a full-time Chief Technology Officer (CTO) position based in Phoenix, AZ, with a hybrid work structure that allows for some remote work. The CTO will oversee the technology strategy, lead software development, manage projects, and guide the architecture and product development process. This role involves collaborating with founders to align technology with business goals, developing innovative solutions to improve service offerings, and leading a dynamic technical team to ensure successful project execution.
WHATYOU’LL DO
- Own the full technical vision, roadmap, and architecture of the platform
- Lead and grow our development team, setting engineering standards and culture
- Ensure the platform is HIPAA compliant
- Drive us toward SOC 2 certification as we scale
- Integrate AI and machine learning tools thoughtfully into the product
- Translate non-technical healthcare concepts from founders into clear, buildable solutions
- Evaluate and select the right tools, frameworks, and vendors
- Be a hands on technical leader, you can and will write code when needed
- Proven experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or senior technical lead at a healthcare technology company
- Deep knowledge of HIPAA compliance, data security, and privacy best practices in healthcare
- Experience with or strong understanding of SOC 2 compliance requirements
- Hands on software engineering background, you understand the code, not just the concepts
- Experience building or integrating AI/ML into production products
- Strong leadership skills. You know how to manage, inspire, and grow a dev team
- Excellent communication skills; able to bridge the gap between clinical and technical teams

- Proven expertise in Software Development and Product Development, including the ability to lead teams and oversee the complete product lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of HIPPA security, IT Strategy and Architecture, with experience in designing and implementing complex technology solutions.
- Exceptional Project Management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, allocate resources, and ensure deliverables align with business objectives.
- Strong leadership abilities, communication skills, and experience collaborating across multiple departments.
- Background in AI, SaaS, compliance technology, or healthcare innovation is a significant advantage.
- Relevant technical certifications or a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
