Overview
A client in the Houston area is looking for a Network Analyst to join their Network Operations team in a hybrid role. This person day to day will be responsible for handling a variety of technical support tickets primarily related to network and firewall issues. These include diagnosing and resolving network connectivity problems, addressing Wi-Fi outages, and managing incidents involving site-wide downtime.
The role requires a strong understanding of network infrastructure and security protocols to ensure timely and effective resolution of service disruptions. The ideal candidate will monitor and manage a queue of tickets and handle all network related tickets, handle escalations, and delegate if workload is high. This candidate will support anywhere from one to eight tickets per day, with resolution time depending on the severity of the issue.
Additionally, this person will manage firewall requests, validate requests, and close the request within approximately two weeks. Lastly, this person will address any and all other related network issues as they arise, such as slow wireless connections or connectivity problems. He or She will be working onsite Monday-Thursday and work from home on Fridays - half day. Hourly rate for this person will be $55-$62 depending on experience.
- Monitor and manage a queue of network-related tickets, handle escalations, and delegate when workload is high.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems, address Wi-Fi outages, and manage incidents involving site-wide downtime.
- Manage firewall requests, validate requests, and close them within approximately two weeks.
- Address related network issues as they arise (e.g., slow wireless connections or connectivity problems).
- Work onsite Monday-Thursday and half-day Fridays (hybrid work schedule).
- Provide timely and effective resolution of service disruptions in alignment with role requirements.
- 3-6 years of experience as a Network Analyst
- 3+ years of experience with Service Now or similar ticketing system
- Extensive experience with Palo Alto Firewalls
