As a Dev Ops Engineer I, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our systems. You will be responsible for automating and streamlining our deployment processes, ensuring continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines are robust and effective. Your work will directly impact the speed and quality of software releases, enabling rapid innovation while maintaining system stability.
Collaborating closely with development, QA, and operations teams, you will help identify and resolve infrastructure and deployment challenges. Ultimately, your contributions will support the organization's goal of delivering high-quality software products with minimal downtime and maximum performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3-5 years experience in Dev Ops, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation
- Hands-on experience with Azure services and administration
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Azure Dev Ops Pipelines, Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, etc)
- Strong knowledge of infrastrucure-as-code (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS preferred)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Datadog, Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, or equivalent)
- Scripting skills (Powershell, Bash, or Python)
- Understanding of Dev Sec Ops practices, including integrating security scans and compliance into pipelines
- Strong problem-solfing skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
- US Citizenship, ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments.
- Certifications related to Dev Ops, cloud platforms, or infrastructure automation.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and applications.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to design scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.
- Assist in managing cloud environments, including provisioning, configuration, and maintenance.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to improve system reliability.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.
The required skills such as scripting and Linux system knowledge are essential for automating routine tasks and managing server environments effectively. Familiarity with version control enables seamless collaboration with development teams and ensures code integrity throughout the deployment process. Preferred skills like cloud platform experience and container orchestration allow the engineer to design scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions that meet modern application demands.
Configuration management and infrastructure as code skills help maintain consistency and repeatability in system provisioning and updates. Together, these skills empower the Dev Ops Engineer I to contribute to a streamlined, secure, and efficient software delivery pipeline on a daily basis.
