About The Role You’re Considering:
An exciting opportunity to work as part of a growing Infrastructure department supporting multiple high-profile clients as part of the Capgemini portfolio. The role of Storage & Backup Engineer is forward-thinking and includes opportunities to assist with project and transition work. You should be comfortable in a busy, challenging environment with a proven track record in day-to-day support and project work, delivering to high quality standards.
Hybrid working:
The places you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home, noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including identity, nationality or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and an unspent criminal record check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
Your role- Provide BAU support of the SAN environment and Backup environment.
- Maintaining documentation and producing management reports.
- Implementing changes according to client change management process.
- Managing backups (end-to-end configuration, rerunning failed backups).
- Disaster recovery testing and Tape Management/Rotation.

Your Skills And Experience- Familiarity with SAN switch management commands (Brocade and Cisco).
- Storage management software skills.
- HP and EMC Storage (Power Store, Isilon, ECS and Unity).
- Brocade and Cisco SAN switches.
- Familiarity with SNOW Incident and Change Management and Veritas Net Backup.
