What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Build predictive models for loss cost, retention, lifetime value, and more using internal and external data
  • Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to develop actionable insights
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and business stakeholders
  • Monitor model performance and implement iterative improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align analytics with business goals
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics
  • 8 or more years of experience in insurance product development, actuarial, or product management within the personal auto insurance industry
  • 5 or more years of progressive data science experience in predictive modeling, machine learning, and advanced analytics
  • Proficiency with Python and SQL
  • Experience with structured and unstructured data analysis
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Understanding of statistical and predictive modeling techniques such as GLMs, decision trees, and neural networks
  • Proven skills as a business consultant using modeling skills to answer business questions
  • Ability to convey complex topics to non-technical audiences
  • Adaptability to changing timelines and project requirements
