Overview
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Performs senior-level system administration and development in the agency’s SharePoint environment. Ensures platform reliability, performance, security, and usability for effective collaboration and information sharing. Designs, develops, and implements custom SharePoint, Power Automate, and Power App solutions to meet business needs. Work under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
- Develop and customize the agency's SharePoint and Power Platform to meet business requirements.
- Engage with stakeholders to collect requirements and create tailored SharePoint solutions that align with business objectives.
- Customize SharePoint sites for improved usability and branding.
- Support site owners with configuration and best practices.
- Use the SharePoint migration tool to transfer file shares.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SharePoint-related issues.
- Train end-users and create documentation for best practices.
- Develop custom SharePoint solutions utilizing SPFx, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
- Connect SharePoint with other enterprise applications, such as Microsoft Teams, Dynamics 365, and third-party APIs.
- Performs related work as assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science, computer information systems, or management information systems is generally preferred. Education and experience may be substituted for one another.
- 5+ years SharePoint experience required.
- 2+ years’ experience as a SharePoint Developer.
- Demonstrated experience in administering Microsoft SharePoint 2010, and SharePoint Online through Office 365.
- Proven experience in Microsoft cloud environments, including SharePoint, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps, and Dynamics 365.
- Skilled in using the SharePoint migration tool to move content from on-premise environments to the cloud.
- Proficient in Visual Studio.
- 7+ years SharePoint experience.
- 4+ years’ experience as a SharePoint Developer.
- Automation experience with Power Apps and Power BI reporting.
- Microsoft Certified:
SharePoint Administrator or Developer. - Experience with Azure Active Directory and cloud integrations.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions.
- Ability to identify and resolve systems and network issues.
- Effective communication skills with clients/customers to gather information and explain policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in producing high-level correspondence, reports, documents, policies, procedures, and training/instructional manuals.
- Highly self-driven and capable of working independently.
- Capable of multitasking and effectively communicating with technical and non-technical staff.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical Requirements
- Due to office space limitations, principal job functions may be performed in a home-based office environment with regular and punctual attendance Mon–Fri.
- Must respond to internal and external communications in a timely manner (within 72 hours of external, within 24 hours of internal).
- Quiet, secure workspace with reliable high-speed internet (minimum 20 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload) when remote.
- Frequent use of keyboard, mouse, and input devices; ability to participate in video calls, phone calls, and virtual meetings.
- May work under deadlines and collaborate with others; low physical demands with occasional lifting (up to 10–40 lbs.).
- Telework eligibility in accordance with state law; new employees must complete department probationary training before telework evaluation.
- TMB will conduct TXDPS criminal history check for new hires due to access to confidential data.
- Cannot hold outside employment that interferes with assigned work schedule; must reside in Texas.
