Lead Consulted, Network Engineer –
Location: Richmond, VA Onsite –
Candidates with strong Palo Alto experience Only
- Manage Telecommunications, Network, and Internet activities
- Work to ensure that the Network and Telecom group exceeds expectations of our customers SLA
- Use network monitoring tools to proactively manage the network
- Ensure adequate system documentation
- Manage the telecom equipment and service procurement process, including ensuring appropriate equipment inventories and software licenses
- Manage suppliers in the Telecom supply chain
- Collaborate effectively with peers in IT and other departments
- Network Analysis, Traffic type and bandwidth tracking to ensure proper sizing of backbone connections
- Manage SDWAN infrastructure
- Work with third party vendors for project implementation and support
- Create and maintain network diagrams
- 5 years of IT experience with 3 years in Telecom or network operations
- Experience supporting remote offices (e.g., branch offices)
- Experience supporting Cisco Switching and Routing, Meraki Wireless, and Palo Firewalls
- Experience with NAC tools (Cisco ISE, Port Nox)
- SDWAN Administration, configuration and support
- VPN (GRE/IPSEC)
- Cloud Networking with a focus on Azure
- Monitoring and NCM experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative, Motivated, and Forward thinking
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong network diagram experience with Visio or similar tool
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- Experience with a rapidly growing company or IT organization
- Applicable Cisco certifications (CCIP, CCIE, CCNA)
- Experience with Citrix or similar technologies in a decentralized and geographically dispersed environment
- Knowledge of Unix/LINUX
- Scripting and Automation
