Scopeof Work
Capio Group is looking for an experienced Data Integration/Migration Consultant to work as a part of the team to enhance the client's existing systems into a single solution by integrating a centralized database system. This integrated solution will eliminate duplicate and redundant data systems which would improve the tracking, regulation of licensing, compliance, and laboratory activities. The centralized system would streamline services for consumers, support more robust reporting, such as real-time tracking of applicant, licensee and compliance performance measures, trend analysis to inform policy development, and data-driven adjustments to business processes that increase efficiency and accountability.
A centralized system would strengthen the client oversight by increasing operational efficiency, supporting evidence-based decision‑making, improving customer service, and accelerating regulatory responsiveness.
The Data Integration/Migration Consultant will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:
- Research, evaluate, and critique the current data policies, practices, and procedures. Engage key stakeholders from selected departments to understand their data sources and needs.
- Establish a procedure to determine data requirements, assess business implications, analyze risks, evaluate feasibility, and identify short‑term and long‑term opportunities for improvement.
- Provide a plan detailing the data flow, and tools necessary to maintain data quality standards and synchronicity with the systems.
- Participate in developing plans and in data synchronization work.
- Identify and execute tasks in preparation for data conversion and migration to decrease data conversion and migration issues and risks.
- Work with client’s business and technical staff to continue with data profiling.
- Recommend preferred ways to document and develop data cleansing methods and rules.
- Coordinate and implement data cleansing rules.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve objectives for data management.
- Document and assess the as‑is data environment.
- Identify, collect, and classify client data.
- Organize data and create data models for all client applications.
- Build a repository of data sources, data flows, data owners, data custodian, and data users.
- Administer mapping of all data sources and its movement to ensure data quality.
- Analyze information flow and recommend appropriate technologies to support business processes.
