The Email & Marketing Automation Manager leads the day-to-day execution of the organization’s email marketing and marketing automation initiatives while supporting broader digital campaign implementation across web and fundraising platforms.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Web Administrator, to implement campaigns, maintain platform quality, and ensure accurate, accessible, and high-performing digital communications. The position is execution-focused, with responsibility for managing email delivery and supporting digital implementation rather than owning overall digital strategy or platform architecture.
KeyDuties & Responsibilities
- Email Marketing & Automation (Primary)
- Manage the organization’s day-to-day email marketing program, including campaign setup, scheduling, testing, QA, and deployment
- Build and maintain email templates and reusable campaign components
- Configure audience segmentation, lists, and targeting for email sends
- Support marketing automation workflows, including basic nurture flows, triggered emails, and campaign sequencing
- Monitor email performance and assist with reporting, QA, and optimization of deliverability and engagement
- Ensure emails follow accessibility, branding, and technical best practices
- Digital Campaign & Website Support
- Support day-to-day updates and maintenance of the organization’s website(s), including CMS content updates, page builds, and QA
- Assist with digital campaign launches, landing page setup, and cross-channel implementation
- Implement UX, accessibility, and content updates across digital properties in alignment with established standards
- Support troubleshooting, routine enhancements, and platform quality assurance across web and campaign pages
- Coordinate with vendors or internal partners on assigned digital and email initiatives
- Analytics, QA, and Operations
- Support analytics validation, including basic reporting checks, link tracking QA, and campaign tagging verification
- Document processes, templates, and workflows to improve consistency and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute email communications, digital campaigns, and support content updates
- Conduct routine performance checks and operational improvements across email and digital channels
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience managing and executing email marketing campaigns, with demonstrated expertise in Luminate Online.
- Experience working with marketing automation tools or workflow-based email systems.
- Experience managing website updates in a CMS environment (Drupal, Word Press, or similar).
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic troubleshooting concepts.
