A high-performing, service-first Managed Services Provider supporting small and midsize businesses across industries such as financial services, professional services, and compliance-driven organizations is seeking a Senior Account Manager to own and mature the client lifecycle function.
This is not a junior account role and not a quota-heavy sales position. This role is designed for an experienced MSP professional who can independently manage renewals, agreements, account clean-up, and strategic upgrades while elevating how account management is executed across the organization.
The Senior Account Manager acts as the primary relationship owner, partnering closely with leadership and service teams to ensure clients receive proactive guidance around cybersecurity, infrastructure standardization, compliance initiatives, and long-term technology planning.
Key Responsibilities- Own a portfolio of MSP client accounts end-to-end
- Lead renewals, agreement management, seat changes, and contract adjustments
- Ensure accounts are clean, accurate, and well-documented in Connect Wise Manage
- Identify and recommend meaningful upgrades across security, compliance, standardization, and strategic projects
- Confidently position and close upgrades without heavy leadership oversight
- Improve and formalize account management processes to create a scalable lifecycle model
Serve as the internal leader of account management, setting expectations for professionalism, responsiveness, and follow-through - Conduct value-driven client reviews (Q
-style conversations) focused on risk mitigation, operational maturity, and business alignment—not just hardware refreshes
- 3+ years of MSP experience in a TAM, vCIO, Account Management, or Client Success role
- Strong hands-on experience with Connect Wise Manage
- Experience managing renewals, agreements, expansions, and account upgrades independently
- Ability to clean up inconsistent or messy accounts and establish structure
- Strong technical fluency across managed services environments (security, compliance, M365, infrastructure, networking) to confidently position services
- Autonomous, entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership mentality
- Polished, professional client-facing presence (Linked In presence required)
- High responsiveness and strong follow-through
- Experience with Quoter or similar CPQ/quoting platforms
- Exposure to Halo PSA (organization is evaluating transition)
- Experience selling security/compliance services, project work, and recurring revenue expansions
- Strong ability to position risk, opportunity, and business value in executive-level conversations
