Overview
The University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) is seeking a Web and Digital Platforms Manager to lead the university’s web strategy, digital content initiatives, and cross-departmental collaboration. Reporting to the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, this position ensures that UMPI’s website and digital presence effectively support institutional goals.
Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. EST, with occasional evening or weekend work required to meet project needs. The selected candidate will establish regular office hours and, in consultation with the supervisor, adjust the work schedule as appropriate.

The salary for this full time is $50,000.00. The university will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion depending on skills and experience. - Bachelor’s degree in web development, computer science, information technology or related educational or work experience.
- At least three (3) years of front-end web design in Word Press and similar website management systems.
- Knowledge and
Skills:- Knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud, Word Press, Kadence blocks, HTML, CSS, etc.
- In-depth understanding of website information architecture, content priorities, accessibility standards, SEO, mobile-first design, and how to work within style guidelines.
- Proficiency in learning, troubleshooting, testing, and optimizing new technology, software, and online tools.
- Exceptional organization skills, ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment, working across multiple projects and deadlines, and ability to learn-on-the-go, take initiative, and work autonomously while working in a strong team environment.
- For remote work arrangements, the selected candidate must provide proof of a stable and reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps. Hotspots are not acceptable for this position. Employees approved for remote or hybrid work will also be required to complete a Remote Work Agreement Form annually.
- Experience in marketing and branding within a higher education setting.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot) to support lead generation and digital engagement strategies.
- Working knowledge of AP style to ensure editorial consistency across digital platforms.
- Background in operational management and systems analysis, with a focus on process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
