Overview

Systems Coordinator role at WorkSafeNB/Travail sécuritaire NB
. Reporting to the Director, Security, Architecture and Strategy, you will be part of our cyber security team and will be responsible for providing user account administration services, access control, employee awareness, and disaster recovery services. This includes providing regular and after-hours support to ensure corporate data integrity, creating, modifying and securing system access, creating, maintaining and initiating backup & recovery procedures, and performing production change control.

Base pay range

CA $64,685.95/yr - CA $76,101.41/yr

Location and work arrangements

Work remotely anywhere in the Province of New Brunswick (subject to our Remote Work Directive). Your primary workspace will be from your in-home office, with occasional in-person meetings; working from outside the province of New Brunswick, or from another country, is not permissible.

Responsibilities
  • Systems Access Control in AD, Entra and other applications to safeguard information assets while minimizing impact to user experience.
  • Disaster Recovery for information systems; participate in planning and execution of tests and actual recovery work as needed.
  • Ensuring critical data transfers occur in a timely fashion and with proper security attributes.
  • Technical support for end users as well as aiding IT colleagues in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Participate in process improvement activities, ensuring standard operating procedures are up to date and appropriate for changing risks.
  • Plan and execute regular anti-malware scans and remediation as required when tools indicate issues using Defender products.
  • Operate the employee security awareness tool, address reports of suspicious emails, and plan training modules for user base.

Qualifications
  • University degree in Computer Science, college diploma in Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education, training, experience and certification, may be considered.
  • Working understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001/CIS, etc.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience with MS Entra and related Azure security tooling.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years’ experience administering and supporting Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and Windows Server environments.
  • Security certification such as Security+, CySA+ would be considered an asset.
Language

Written and spoken competency in English is required.

Hours

Hours of work are those required to perform the assigned tasks but shall not be less than 35 hours per week.
