W2 RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled MS Fabric Data Architect to design and implement modern data architecture solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric and the Medallion (Bronze Silver Gold) data model. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building scalable, governed, and high‑performing data platforms using Azure and Microsoft Fabric components such as One Lake, Data Factory (Fabric pipelines), Synapse Data Warehouse, and Power BI.
Key Responsibilities- Design and architect end‑to‑end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Power BI.
- Define and implement enterprise‑scale data architectures leveraging One Lake and Fabric‑native services.
- Lead the migration of legacy data platforms (SQL Server, Synapse, ADF, on‑prem data warehouses) to Microsoft Fabric.
- Architect data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines using Fabric Data Factory, notebooks, and pipelines.
- Design and optimize Lakehouse and Warehouse models to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML workloads.
- Establish data Modeling standards (dimensional, medallion architecture bronze/silver/gold).
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance using Microsoft Purview, RBAC, and Fabric security features.
- Drive performance tuning and cost optimization strategies within Microsoft Fabric.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Provide architectural guidance for Power BI semantic models, ensuring high performance and reusability.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for Fabric assets using Azure Dev Ops or Git Hub.
- Mentor data engineers and BI developers on Fabric best practices and design patterns.
- Evaluate and recommend best practices for enterprise metadata management and data quality.
- Work closely with cloud, security, and platform teams to align Fabric solutions with enterprise standards.
- Stay current with Microsoft Fabric roadmap, features, and architectural patterns, and drive adoption across the organization.
- 15+ years of experience in data architecture, with 4+ years in Azure data ecosystem.
- Hands‑on experience implementing Medallion architecture (Bronze Silver Gold layers) in Microsoft Fabric environments.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric components – One Lake, Data Factory (Pipelines), Synapse DW, Power BI, and Data Activator.
- Expertise in data Modeling, ETL/ELT design, and data transformation frameworks.
- Deep understanding of data governance, security, and lineage (preferably using Microsoft Purview).
- Solid proficiency in SQL, Python, and DAX/Power Query (M).
- Experience defining and implementing Data Ops, CI/CD pipelines, and version control for data projects.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
