SC Cleared Senior Wifi Network Engineer; Aruba Clearpass - Defence

We are seeking a Senior SC Cleared WiFi Network Engineer with Aruba Clear Pass expertise to support secure UK defence accounts within a highly controlled environment.

This role is ideal for a technically strong, defence-experienced engineer who thrives in secure programmes where precision, governance and operational security are critical. You will play a key role in delivering and optimising enterprise-grade wireless and network infrastructure across protected environments.

If you have deep Aruba experience, strong LAN/WAN capability and proven delivery within secure or defence settings - this is a high-impact opportunity.

active SC Clearance will be required before a start.

You will lead wireless network design, deployment and optimisation across secure UK accounts, with particular focus on Aruba WiFi and Clear Pass network access control solutions
.

This is a hybrid role, combining remote working with onsite engagement in Barrow to support project delivery within defence environments.

• Lead design and implementation of Aruba WiFi solutions (controllers, APs, mobility architecture)

• Deploy and integrate Aruba Clear Pass for network access control, policy enforcement and secure guest access

• Deliver network engineering across switching, routing and Firewall environments

• Optimise and enhance wireless performance across secure estates

• Provide expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis

• Maintain detailed technical documentation aligned to governance standards

• Support project delivery within structured, secure change-controlled frameworks

• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams across secure accounts

• Minimum 10 years' experience in wireless network engineering

• Extensive hands-on experience with Aruba wireless solutions and Clear Pass

• Strong understanding of network protocols and security standards (TCP/IP, VLANs, 802.1X, RADIUS)

• Experience conducting WiFi surveys (Ekahau/Visual RF)

• LAN/WAN knowledge equivalent to CCNA level or above

• Experience delivering within Defence or secure government environments

• Strong switching, routing and Firewall knowledge

• Experience working within structured, secure project delivery environments

• Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP) or higher

• CCNA/CCNP

• Experience with Palo Alto or Checkpoint Firewalls

• NAC expertise

• Experience supporting UK Secure or defence accounts
