Security Engineer – IT/OT

Are you an IT/OT Security Engineer looking to work on meaningful, security‑critical infrastructure projects across the UK?

We’re looking for a mid‑level Security Engineer to deliver secure‑by‑design controls across complex IT/OT environments. You’ll play a key role in helping clients strengthen operational resilience, align with regulatory frameworks, and improve cyber maturity across critical infrastructure estates.

You’ll support both design and implementation of security controls across IT/OT environments, aligned to:

• IEC 62443
• NIS / NIS2
• NCSC CAF
• IEC 61850

This is a hands‑on engineering role with real impact — combining technical delivery, consultancy input, and client collaboration.

Security Design & Consultancy

• Produce security design documentation, risk treatments, and test plans
• Contribute to SOC visibility requirements and detection use cases
• Support compliance and audit readiness
• Execute builds, validation, and remediation activities
• Maintain hardened baselines and secure configuration artefacts
• Ensure strong authentication, logging, backup, and recovery coverage

Remote Delivery

• Deliver diagnostics and changes remotely
• Coordinate effectively with site teams and third‑party vendors
• Maintain accurate as‑built documentation and runbooks
• 3–6 years’ experience in security engineering or IT/OT delivery
• Experience working in operational technology or critical infrastructure environments
• Strong understanding of segmentation and industrial security principles
• Clear communicator, confident engaging with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Comfortable working autonomously in a remote UK role

• GICSP
• CISSP
• CompTIA Security+ or (ISC)² SSCP
