Licensing Manager – Research

You’ll shape and negotiate high‑value, sector‑leading agreements that enable cutting‑edge research across the UK. You’ll work closely with universities and research institutions to understand complex financial, legal, technical and workflow needs, translating them into robust, future‑focused agreements.
With a particular emphasis on advanced research computing, you’ll help secure the technologies that power modern research – from high‑performance computing (HPC) and data‑intensive workflows to cloud and on‑premise environments, research analytics and specialist software. Your work will help strengthen the national research infrastructure and support digital transformation across large‑scale data processing and secure research environments.
You’ll lead negotiations, analyse detailed financial and technical information to achieve successful outcomes. Strong communication and influencing skills are essential, as you’ll need to distil complex concepts into clear, actionable procurement or agreement specifications
This role is ideal for someone with experience in research, research computing or data‑intensive environments and who enjoys problem solving and collaboration.

Working style:
Hybrid – A blend of working from home and your nominated hub office. We have hubs located in London, Bristol, Manchester and Oxford.
