What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)- Administer DB2 databases and subsystems, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Monitor storage, support capacity planning, and perform routine maintenance tasks
- Provide status reports as required and log activity using time tracking software
- Document changes and follow established protocols while supporting IT teams
- Manage, monitor, and tune DB2 subsystems and application environments
- Minimum of seven (7) years of DB2 DBA experience on the Z/OS platform
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- Experience administering complex DB2 environments with multiple subsystems
- Proficiency in ZOS tools and utilities (e.g., TSO, ISPF, JCL)
- Strong communication, documentation, and user requirement gathering skills
- Experience installing and configuring DB2 Connect
- Familiarity with Application Lifecycle Management tools like LCM, CHANGEMAN, or similar
- Experience with data modeler tools like ERWIN or similar
- Salary up to $75.00/hour
