Job Title:
MES Developer / MES Integration Engineer
Location:
Remote Position Type:
Contract/ Full-Time Only W2
Role overview:
You will join Smart Factory delivery teams to build, extend, and integrate Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for manufacturing and supply-chain clients, often in Commercial Aerospace & Defense–adjacent environments. This role is hands‑on: you’ll develop custom applications (dashboards, wrappers, APIs), design integrations across the ERP–PLM–MES “digital thread,” and support go‑lives in travel‑based consulting settings. Engagement & work model:
Engagement type:
Contract via Deloitte CWS/CDW (no direct vendor‑to‑manager contracting).
Conversion path:
Potential consideration for Deloitte conversion after ~6+ months on a long‑term engagement (performance/need dependent).
Travel:
Typically 30–50% (client sites; travel reimbursed per policy).
- Build integrations between MES and enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, planning/scheduling, reporting) and optimize data flows that support manufacturing operations.
- Develop and maintain MES reporting, dashboards, and KPI visibility layers for plant leadership and operations teams.
- Design and implement API‑based/middleware integration patterns for near‑real‑time and batch interfaces (e.g., MES ↔︎️ ERP/PLM ↔︎️ shop‑floor systems).
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration defects and production issues, including root‑cause analysis and durable fixes.
- Collaborate with solution architects, BAs, and client stakeholders to translate process needs into technical designs and build plans.
- U.S. citizenship (required for many client environments).
- 3+ years of hands‑on MES/MOM experience (not entry‑level).
- Experience with at least one major MES platform, strongly preferred:
Siemens Opcenter, Dassault Apriso, IFS (MRO), iBASE‑t, Solumina, Ramco, or similar. - Application development skills around MES (typical mix):
JavaScript/HTML, Node.js, SQL, Python (or equivalent stack for web services + data access). - Integration experience across “digital thread” domains: ERP, PLM, MES; including legacy conversions/migrations (SAP, Oracle, AS/400, MAPICS, etc.).
- Consulting readiness: strong communication, structured documentation, and comfort working with distributed teams + on‑site client delivery
- Proven experience designing MES integrations with ERP/PLM and/or planning/scheduling systems and building enterprise‑grade SQL/data objects.
- Experience building dashboards/visualizations off MES data and enabling KPI monitoring for manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with shop‑floor connectivity concepts (equipment/system interfaces, manufacturing data collection patterns).
This is a remote position.
