This is a Hybrid role working from our Bristol office 2 days a week.
As a Senior Dev Ops Engineer
, you will be a cornerstone of our technical community, taking ownership of platform reliability and security, ensuring that our technical delivery aligns with innovative cloud roadmaps.
We are looking for a collaborative leader who is passionate about building a strong Dev Sec Ops culture. You will balance high‑velocity delivery with rigorous stability, translating complex business objectives into scalable, elegant automation. Key aspects of the role include:
Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure: Implementing expert‑level cloud‑native architectures and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure our systems are scalable and resilient.
Strategic Automation: Building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines that align with long‑term project goals.
Stakeholder
Collaboration:
Engaging with diverse stakeholders to define non‑functional requirements and balancing performance with cloud‑spend efficiency.Technical Mentorship: Driving a supportive team environment through peer reviews and knowledge sharing to foster high engineering standards.
Operational Excellence: Optimising automated workflows and proactively managing technical trade‑offs.
Practice Growth: Mentoring peers across the practice and contributing your unique insights to Waracle’s body of knowledge.
What you'll bring:
Cloud & Orchestration: Expertise in major cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure) and experience scaling Kubernetes for complex microservices.
CI/CD & Automation: Mastery of Jenkins and advanced Python/Bash scripting to create seamless end‑to‑end workflows.
Security & Dev Sec Ops : A specialist lens on mobile platform security and integrating vulnerability management into the SDLC.
Infrastructure & Networking: Deep knowledge of Docker/OCI standards and cluster networking.
Reliability & Observability: A focus on high‑performance Logs/Metrics/Traces and a commitment to cost‑efficient system optimisation.
Empathetic Leadership: A proven track record of technical mentorship and fostering collaborative, inclusive team cultures.
