Position: Software Product DevOps Engineer Remote Opportunity

At EZ Labs — a mission-driven technology division of VetsEZ — we are transforming healthcare delivery through technology, innovation, and compassion. We partner with care teams, payers, and providers to improve how patients experience care, how claims are processed, and how care coordination is managed across the continuum. By integrating advanced analytics, intelligent automation, and secure cloud platforms, we enable smarter decisions, seamless patient engagement, and more efficient claims management.

Together, we are shaping a healthcare ecosystem that delivers better outcomes for patients, providers, and payers.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Product / Dev Ops Engineer who enjoys building full-stack product capabilities while also owning the automation, deployment, and operational reliability of those systems in cloud environments (AWS and Azure). This role empowers engineers to deliver secure, scalable software that supports clinical, administrative, and interoperability workflows.

As part of EZ Labs, you will help innovate and deliver solutions that improve patient care, streamline operations, and support key healthcare programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack product features and services using modern software engineering practices (backend APIs, cloud services, frontend integrations).
  • Translate business and clinical requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain cloud-native services and microservices in AWS and Azure.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
  • Author and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible, or ARM templates.
  • Implement containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS/AKS).
  • Integrate observability (logging, metrics, tracing) to monitor performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including product, QA, compliance, clinical, and operations teams to deliver impactful software.
  • Apply Dev Ops and Dev Sec Ops  best practices to enhance automation and secure operations.
  • Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and improving system resilience.
  • Support continuous improvement of systems, tooling, and developer workflows.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, product development, cloud engineering, Dev Ops, or related roles.
  • Experience developing backend and/or full-stack applications in production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops, or Jenkins.
  • Experience or strong interest in cloud automation and Dev Ops practices.
  • Working knowledge of containers (Docker) and exposure to orchestration platforms (Kubernetes/EKS/AKS).
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, JavaScript/Node.js, Type Script, or similar.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively on a remote team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible, ARM).
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (Datadog, Cloud Watch, Azure Monitor, ELK).
  • Familiarity with secure development and compliance in regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA, FedRAMP).
  • Prior experience supporting government health IT systems.
  • Exposure to frontend frameworks or full-stack web stacks.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation
  • Medical, Dental, Vision coverage
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) + Federal holidays
  • Corporate-provided laptop
  • Remote work with flexible schedule
  • Professional development and training opportunities

Note: Selected candidates will be required to complete fingerprinting and a background check as part of the hiring process.
