Are you an experienced IT professional with a passion for managing complex, modern environments?
Join our dynamic IT Operations team as an IT Environment Manager
, leading the governance, optimisation, and hands‑on support of our Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, Optimizely and Microsoft 365 platforms. Make a significant impact in a fast‑paced, innovative and regulated environment.
As an IT Environment Manager, you will take ownership of the full lifecycle of our Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE and Finance), Optimizely and Microsoft 365 environments. You will manage new environment requests, oversee existing environments, and ensure both IT and business requirements are met within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You will work closely with our offshore Dev Ops team - including a dedicated DBA - to coordinate the hands‑on build, configuration, upgrades, packaging and deployments of these environments.
You will define, analyse and manage development, test and pre‑production environments using agreed processes and robust governance. These environments range from small CRM sandboxes to full‑stack solutions integrating cloud services, SaaS platforms and third‑party systems. A key responsibility will be to chair the Environment Management Group (EMG), maintaining its Terms of Reference and overseeing all governance activities. This includes ensuring each environment has clear ownership, purpose, dependencies, lifecycle state and configuration details recorded accurately within the SRA's Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB).
You will also be responsible for managing environment creation, build, upgrades and day‑to‑day support; overseeing data refreshes, restores and migrations; collating test data; and assisting with production data cleansing when required. You will support projects in defining their environment needs, manage environment allocations, and maintain monthly balanced scorecards reporting usage, utilisation, availability and cost. This is a hands‑on role when required, balanced with governance, coordination and strategic oversight.
