Position Title: AI Engineer (Automation & Intelligent Systems)
Location: Remote (EST or CST Time Zones Preferred)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Our client is building the future of intelligent systems—and we’re looking for an AI Engineer to help lead the charge. In this role, you’ll design, build, and deploy scalable automation solutions that drive efficiency, reduce manual work, and fuel innovation across the organization.
You’ll work closely with Information Technology teams and business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and turn them into reliable, AI‑driven workflows. From robotic process automation (RPA) to workflow orchestration and generative AI, your work will directly shape how our clients leverage intelligence to transform their operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using tools like Python, RPA platforms, and custom scripts.
- Build next‑generation, AI‑powered virtual assistants, conversational interfaces, and generative experiences for internal and external users.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities.
- Integrate AI/ML models into automation workflows to enable intelligent decision‑making and predictive insights.
- Develop APIs, Azure Function Apps, and microservices to support modular and scalable automation systems.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure solutions remain reliable and maintainable.
- Develop and maintain documentation, test cases, and operational playbooks for long‑term support.
- Ensure all development activities align with security and compliance best practices.
- Stay current on automation trends, AI integration techniques, and emerging tools to continuously evolve practices and solutions.
- 2+ years of experience in AI development, automation engineering, software development, or related roles.
- Proven experience designing and deploying automation solutions using RPA tools (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath) or custom frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience building generative AI solutions using platforms like Microsoft Copilot Studio
, Azure AI Foundry
, or equivalent. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
, Java Script , or C#, and familiarity with modern dev tools (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf). - Strong practical knowledge of leading LLMs (OpenAI, Gemini, Grok, Claude), with expertise in prompt engineering and managing conversational context.
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server) and understanding of data integration concepts.
- Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure Dev Ops
