About the RoleYou will join an Infrastructure / Dev Ops team responsible for mission-critical, always-on distributed systems. These systems are ultra-low latency, highly available, and operate at significant scale.
This role sits at the intersection of Dev Ops, Platform Engineering, and Developer Experience. You will help design and operate the tooling, platforms, and workflows that enable engineers to build, test, deploy, and run applications efficiently across a hybrid environment spanning self-hosted infrastructure and public cloud.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role where reliability, automation, and engineering productivity are core priorities.
What You’ll Do- Platform Enablement:
Design, build, and maintain internal tools and workflows that improve developer productivity across CI/CD, testing, and observability. - Developer Experience (Dev Ex):
Automate and streamline deployment pipelines to enable fast, safe, and reliable releases. - Infrastructure Automation:
Build and scale Kubernetes-based infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code best practices in a cloud environment. - Operational Excellence:
Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain system health using modern observability and alerting tooling. - System Reliability:
Optimise performance and availability for high-throughput, low-latency services. - Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers and SREs, participate in on-call rotations, incident reviews, and cross-team initiatives. - Security & Compliance:
Contribute to secure-by-design systems and operational practices aligned with recognised compliance standards.
- 2–4 years’ experience in Dev Ops, SRE, or platform engineering roles
- Proficiency in scripting (Python and/or Bash)
- Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and public cloud platforms
- Familiarity with data stores and messaging systems such as Postgre
SQL, Redis, and Kafka - Experience with CI/CD tooling and a passion for improving build and deployment workflows
- A pragmatic, delivery‑focused mindset balanced with technical curiosity
- Exposure to Nix‑based build environments
- Experience working with hybrid or self-hosted infrastructure
- Familiarity with Git Ops tools, internal developer portals, or platform tooling
- Experience with compiled languages or performance‑sensitive systems
- Interest in low‑latency or performance engineering
- Languages:
Python, Bash, Rust, Node.js - Infrastructure:
Kubernetes, Terraform, public cloud, CI/CD tooling - Observability:
Metrics, logging, tracing, and error monitoring platforms
