Remote Manual QA Tester

Job Description

The Manual QA Tester is responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements and user stories, with a strong focus on ETL processes deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role performs functional, regression, integration, validation, and end‑to‑end testing, leveraging both manual testing workflows (documented in Excel) and automated test scripts built with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

The QA Tester collaborates closely with developers, product owners, and cross‑functional teams to identify, log, and track defects through resolution using tools like JIRA, Rally, or Azure Dev Ops, while actively participating in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives. The role emphasizes test case traceability to business and technical requirements, clear and concise test documentation, and continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.

Additionally, the QA Tester utilizes AI‑powered testing tools and coding assistants to accelerate test creation, enhance defect detection, and improve test maintenance, bringing 6–8 years of experience in software and ETL testing, strong analytical and communication skills, and a solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, API testing, and cloud‑based environments.

• 6–8 years of experience in software & ETL testing, primarily manual within GCP environments
• Experience setting up testing best practices on a new cloud based platform
• Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, primarily GCP Automation testing background
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools or AI coding assistants (e.g., Git Hub Copilot, Testim, mabl)
