Role Overview
As a Workday AMS Lead Canadian Payroll Consultant at Kainos, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the successful post‑deployment service delivery of Workday solutions for clients. This role focuses on post‑production support, configuration, and functional changes. You may also support implementation projects. You will work with customer Payroll leads to enhance, fix, and extend their existing Workday Canadian Payroll implementation. The scope excludes payroll operations and direct worker payroll support.

The role is performed remotely (anywhere in the US or Canada) or hybrid with commuting to our Toronto office.

Responsibilities

Deliver post‑deployment support for Workday Canadian Payroll solutions.

Address customer cases on a prioritized basis.

Collaborate with customer Payroll leads on enhancements, bug fixes, and extensions.

Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Act as a role model and support the sales process, including estimating work packages.

Adjust to various Workday delivery services, such as Consulting and Application Management Services.

Meet defined Service Level Agreements for Application Management Services.

Travel to customer sites within the region as required.

Minimum (Essential) Requirements

Workday CAN Payroll Certification.

Strong understanding of Workday Canadian Payroll.

Excellent customer focus with ability to assess needs, build relationships, manage expectations, and push back when necessary.

Strong communication skills with impact, credibility, and empathy; able to formally present to senior client audiences.

Ability to design and architect scalable, optimal payroll solutions.

Ability to work to tight deadlines and make balanced decisions under pressure.

Strong consulting skills, including presenting, leading workshops, and explaining complex functionality.

Willingness to act as a role model and mentor or line‑manage junior consultants.

Willingness to support the sales process and estimate work packages.

Ability to rotate through various Workday delivery services.

For Application Management Services, meet defined Service Level Agreements.

Travel minimal out‑of‑region is acceptable.

People Management (Future)

Agree and review team and individual goals aligned with Kainos, Workday BU, and capability.

Provide support to achieve goals.

Review performance against goals and provide feedback.

Identify training to support development.
