About the Role
Weare seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Rust Developer to join a fast-growing, Bitcoin-native financial technology company based in Canada (PST) . Our product is dedicated to helping Canadian employers integrate Bitcoin into their compensation and benefits strategies. This is a mission-driven opportunity to build secure, high-performance applications leveraging the power of Rust. This is a full-time, long-term remote position.
You will work within a small, focused team, reporting directly to the Lead Developer and the CTO . Time Zone Overlap: The schedule is adjusted to ensure a 4-hour overlap with 8AM—12PM PST (typically ending around 21:00 Kyiv time ). Team: You will join a core engineering team including 2 Full-Stack Developers, 1 QA Engineer (all from Ukraine), the Lead Developer, and the CTO.
Tools: Rust (Actix), HTMX, Postgre
SQL, Ubuntu, Jira, Microsoft Teams.

Key Responsibilities
Build secure, user-friendly web applications end-to-end, following HATEOAS principles .
Design, develop, and optimize services using Rust (Actix framework) and Postgre
SQL .
Integrate industry best practices for security and ensure SOC2-compliant features.
Actively participate in code reviews, peer feedback, and live testing with a high standard for quality.
Engage in daily standups held at 10:00 AM PST .
Required Skills & Experience
Software Development (Overall)— 5+ years
Rust (Production Experience) — 3+ years
Postgre
SQL — 2+ years
HTMX — Any prior experience
Sufficient English level (B2) for technical discussions and passing a technical interview.
A strong interest in the Bitcoin ecosystem (familiarity with wallets, nodes, and Lightning is highly valued).
Bonus Points
Preference for candidates who use Linux/Mac as their primary development environment.
Familiarity with Dev Ops principles (managing Linux servers, compile-time optimizations).
