Overview

We are seeking a versatile and highly skilled UI/UX Designer and Word Press Developer to support ongoing website design and development needs. This role is ideal for someone who can seamlessly blend creative design, front‑end web development, and technical Word Press expertise. You will build new web pages, create wireframes for net‑new concepts, and develop complex custom pages that require both strong design sense and backend development skills.

This is a 100% remote, part‑time position requiring approximately 25–30 hours per week, with an average of 5–10 new page build requests per month.

Key Responsibilities Web & UI/UX Design
  • Design high‑quality, visually engaging web pages aligned with brand standards.
  • Create net‑new wireframes, mockups, and layout concepts for pages and microsites.
  • Ensure all designs follow responsive, mobile‑first best practices.
  • Work with stakeholders to refine requirements and translate concepts into actionable designs.
Word Press Development
  • Build and customize Word Press pages, templates, and theme components.
  • Develop complex, multi‑section pages requiring custom layouts, dynamic components, or backend logic.
  • Optimize site performance, accessibility and usability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve front‑end and Word Press‑related technical issues.
Back‑End / Technical Work
  • Implement backend features needed for functionality on advanced or custom pages.
  • Integrate APIs, custom fields (ACF), or plugin configurations as needed.
  • Maintain clean, well‑documented code throughout development.
Requirements
  • Strong UI/UX design portfolio showcasing website layouts and wireframes.
  • Expert‑level experience building and customizing Word Press sites (themes, templates, plugins).
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front‑end practices.
  • Experience developing complex, multi‑section Word Press pages from concept to production.
  • Ability to interpret vague or high‑level requirements and convert them into refined wireframes and final pages.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of PHP for deeper Word Press customization.
  • Experience with Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg, or similar page‑builder ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with UX research, accessibility standards, and usability testing.
  • Strong visual design sensibility—including layout, typography, and brand continuity.
Workload & Engagement
  • 100% remote
  • 5–10 page build requests per month

  • Flexible work schedule with deadline accountability
  • Potential for additional project expansion and long‑term engagement.
