Cloud Security Architect – Lloyds Banking Group

Edinburgh, Leeds, London, Halifax, Bristol, Manchester – We’re happy with home working the majority of the time, however you’ll need to be in office 2 days per week under your own cost.

Salary & Benefits

The base salary banding for this role is £61,176 - £84,117 in London and £52,912 to £72,754 outside of London plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution, 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Calling all Cloud Security Architects! We are excited to confirm expansion of the Cloud Services team to support the immediate delivery of a number of key security services across our public cloud environments at Lloyds Banking Group.

As we continue to support security for the bank, we are building a Cloud focused centre of excellence within GCIO IT Cyber Security.

Responsibilities
  • Daily running, managing, configuring, monitoring and optimising of the Cloud native security offerings (e.g. Azure Security Centre, MCAS, Google Security Command Centre, amongst others.) of the various Public Clouds
  • Identifying, reporting on and remediating (where relevant and appropriate) any vulnerabilities/non‑compliance/recommendations.
  • Supporting the development of policy as code, automation of reporting requirements alongside other continuous improvement initiatives that may be identified
  • Providing strong and resilient business solutions that safeguard our business and customers from security threats
  • Producing high‑level and low‑level designs for security related cloud products and features
  • Reviewing existing deployments and identifying gaps or beneficial additions
Qualifications
  • Cloud experience:
    Google Cloud (priority), Azure (priority), AWS
  • Previous experience in a security focused role
  • Able to review architecture proposals as they are presented, calling out issues and security concerns
  • Following security‑by‑design principles
  • Working in a Dev Ops/Automation centric environment
  • Able to operate as a self‑starter, able to manage their workload and identify and plan their next tasks
  • Understanding and securing API‑based architectures
  • Securing GKE/Istio (Kubernetes)
  • Platform/Infrastructure Security (not Application Development)
  • Cryptography – Keys, certificates
  • Secret management solutions and techniques
  • Network security – WAF/WAP/Firewalls
