What You’ll Do- Lead data quality (DQ) and master data management (MDM) initiatives within the investment management ecosystem.
- Design and implement frameworks to govern reference and security master data across systems and workflows.
- Collaborate with business, data, and technology stakeholders to define data models, validation rules, and lineage.
- Assess current-state data quality controls and implement measurable improvements to accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Oversee data onboarding, enrichment, and reconciliation processes for market, client, and product data.
- Partner with vendor and internal engineering teams to integrate and enhance MDM and DQ platforms.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications that align with product and regulatory needs.
- Provide functional expertise and thought leadership to both client and internal delivery teams.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding stakeholders on best practices in data governance, metadata management, and enterprise data architecture.
- 10+ years of experience in data management roles within asset management / investment management firms or technology vendors serving this industry.
- Proven expertise in both Data Quality and Master Data Management (security master, client, product, reference data domains).
- Hands‑on experience implementing or integrating one or more of the following platforms:
- DQ tools:
Ataccama, Informatica, IBM Information Server, SAP, or equivalent. - Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, data lineage, and data modeling concepts.
- Previous experience as a Product Manager, Sales Engineer, or Consultant in data management or enterprise software environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business outcomes.
- Experience with SQL, data pipelines, and API integrations preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
This is a fully remote position
; however, candidates must be based in the Eastern U.S. time zone to ensure effective collaboration with client and team schedules.
