The Agile Delivery Lead will establish best‑in‑class agile practices, strengthen team ceremonies, improve planning and estimation quality, and lead continuous improvement efforts across engineering. This role is ideal for someone who has scaled agile delivery in high‑growth technology or fintech environments and can quickly diagnose delivery challenges, implement structure, and coach teams toward more mature and consistent delivery practices.
This contractor will play a key role in building repeatable processes, healthy team rhythms, and data‑driven delivery behaviors—without disrupting product or engineering ownership.
Responsibilities- Facilitate and improve core agile ceremonies for multiple engineering teams (planning, standups, demos, retrospectives).
- Assess current agile practices and delivery rhythms; identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Establish consistent agile frameworks, sprint structures, estimation methods, and operating cadences.
- Coach Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and engineers on best practices for planning, estimation, workflow management, and delivery discipline.
- Implement and enforce team‑level standards such as:
- Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD)
- Jira workflow consistency and backlog health
- Partner with the Senior TPM to improve delivery predictability using engineering metrics (cycle time, throughput, WIP, velocity stability).
- Prepare teams for quarterly alignment and continuous planning by ensuring backlog quality, capacity visibility, and clear dependency mapping.
- Support release readiness by coordinating process checkpoints, strengthening accountability, and identifying blockers early.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on execution quality and reducing delivery friction.
- 5+ years of experience in Agile Delivery, Scrum Mastery, Agile Coaching, or Technical Program Management.
- Proven success supporting multiple engineering teams simultaneously in a scaling technology environment.
- Deep knowledge of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
- Advanced experience with Jira (workflows, boards, metrics). Experience with Jellyfish is a plus.
- Strong facilitation, communication, coaching, and change‑management skills.
- Ability to rapidly diagnose delivery issues and implement practical, repeatable solutions.
- Experience collaborating with engineering and product leadership in matrixed or multi‑team environments.
- Fintech or regulated‑industry experience is a plus, though not required.
