The NOC Monitoring Engineer will oversee round‑the‑clock monitoring of critical infrastructure, networks, and applications to ensure uninterrupted operations. This role is essential for early detection of incidents, timely escalation, and maintaining SLA-driven service continuity in a high-availability environment.

As a NOC Monitoring Engineer, you will monitor system alerts, perform incident triage, and escalate issues to the appropriate technical teams. You will work within a structured 24×7 environment, ensuring continuous service delivery and accurate documentation of events. This role requires strong attention to detail, expertise in monitoring tools, and the ability to work efficiently within time-sensitive operational workflows. You will also support dashboard upkeep, maintain logs, and participate in the resolution lifecycle of incidents across infrastructure and network landscapes.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor infrastructure, network, and application alerts using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Perform initial triage to classify incidents based on severity and business impact.
- Escalate issues to L2/L3 teams following established SOPs.
- Track incidents through resolution and ensure timely updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain dashboards, logs, and monitoring templates for accuracy and reliability.
- Support SLA-driven operations and ensure adherence to response and resolution metrics.
- Document incidents, recurring issues, and improvement recommendations.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in NOC monitoring, IT operations, or network support.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, and application monitoring concepts.
- Experience working in 24×7 shift environments.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Solar Winds, Zabbix, Nagios, Datadog, Splunk).
- Excellent incident triage, prioritization, and escalation management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple alerts simultaneously.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Availability to work rotational shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or telecom environments.
- Basic scripting knowledge for automation (Bash, Python, Power Shell).
- Exposure to ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem).
- Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing basics).
