IT Project Manager, Systems Engineer, Cybersecurity
We are seeking an experienced IT Network Manager to lead a team responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing improvement of wide-area network (WAN) solutions supporting a large, distributed environment. This role blends people leadership, technical oversight, and strategic planning, with a strong focus on collaboration, resiliency, and security.
As a people-first leader, you will guide and develop a team of network engineers while partnering closely with IT and business stakeholders to ensure network solutions align with organizational needs. While you won’t be hands-on day to day, your technical depth will allow you to provide direction, remove obstacles, and support sound engineering decisions.
This position follows a hybrid schedule
, combining remote work with onsite presence as needed at corporate locations in the St. Louis area.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of network engineers through coaching, feedback, and career development
- Create an environment rooted in trust, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance management, and recognition
- Translate complex technical topics into clear, actionable information for non-technical partners
- Encourage strong collaboration across IT teams and business units
- Promote secure-by-design thinking in all decisions and initiatives
- Set direction for WAN engineering efforts, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, and secure
- Guide the design and delivery of network architectures and related infrastructure projects
- Partner with internal teams to align network initiatives with broader technology and business goals
- Work with vendors and procurement partners on solution evaluations, roadmap planning, and contract input
- Provide leadership during escalations, balancing urgency, risk, and long-term stability
- Support project execution using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
This role may occasionally require flexibility in work hours to support planning or critical initiatives.
What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
- Residence in St. Louis, Missouri, or the surrounding area
- 6+ years of experience in IT or network engineering roles
- 2+ years of direct people management experience, including performance management and hiring
- Experience leading infrastructure or network-focused projects
- Background managing or leading network teams in large, complex environments
- Strong vendor and partner management experience
- Working knowledge of core network technologies (LAN/WAN, routing & switching, VPN, DNS, DHCP, wireless)
- Experience with IT service or project management tools such as Jira and/or Service Now
- Demonstrated commitment to security and risk awareness in daily work
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Experience supporting branch or remote network infrastructure
- Strong understanding of WAN and SD-WAN technologies
- Experience leading teams responsible for remote access network solutions
- Ability to create dashboards, reports, or operational insights using service management tools
