Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Join Ninja One as a Sr QA Engineer. We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented professional to ensure quality software for our customers. You will be an integral part of our team, supporting software quality testing pivotal for our growing IT Operations software. Work with a diverse squad of software development engineers to validate new product features and design and implement test cases.

Apply your knowledge of the IT Operations industry and products, operating systems, and QA testing to deeply test the software stack. Collaborate with top-tier engineers and leadership to manage a stream of new software challenges.

Location:

We are flexible on remote work from home if you are located in the USA and reside in CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, ME, MA, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, or WA. We have physical offices in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL for hybrid options.

Ninja One is unable to hire for this role within the city limits of Chicago; candidates outside the city proper or willing to self-relocate will be considered.

• IT Operations Expertise: become an in-house expert on our IT software solutions; understand user requirements, scrutinize usability, and provide feedback to shape the product for MSPs and IT teams.
• Quality Testing & Troubleshooting: perform comprehensive software testing; develop and maintain test plans and ensure cross-platform quality.
• Documentation: create detailed reports on quality and functionality; clearly document defects for the development teams.
• Continuous Improvement: recommend enhancements to testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Collaboration:
  
  work with developers, product managers, and leaders through the SDLC to ensure quality standards.
• Other duties as needed. Strong communication skills.

• 5+ years of experience in Manual Quality Assurance Testing.
• 3+ years of experience in Automation Testing.
• 2+ years scripting in Power Shell, Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
• 5+ years in roles like Technical IT Support, Product Support, or Systems Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in technology is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Experience with at least 2 of Windows, Mac, Linux; understanding of OS fundamentals, Windows Registry, and other OS basics.
• Experience with computer networks and network equipment; understanding of network hardware is a plus.
• Experience with Postgre
  
  SQL, SQL, and MySQL.
• Experience configuring Virtual Machines (VMs) with ESXi and/or Hyper-V.
• Experience with Mobile App Testing for MDM product teams is a plus.
• Experience with TCP/IP protocols (SNMP, TCP, UDP, ICMP) is beneficial for our network monitoring team.
• Experience with Jira and Jira X-Ray extension is a plus.

Starting pay depends on location, experience, and other factors. Salary ranges for states California, Colorado, New Jersey, and Washington are $75,000 to $110,000 per year;
New York ranges $75,000 to $110,000 per year.
