About the role
We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure the reliability and integrity of our web applications. You will be responsible for end-to-end testing, ranging from deep-dive database validation to verifying complex frontend states in React.

The ideal candidate possesses a "break-it" mindset and the technical skills to identify discrepancies between the backend logic and the user interface.

Key Responsibilities
API Testing & Validation:
Perform comprehensive testing of REST APIs using Postman. Ensure JSON structures are correct, schemas are validated, and status codes are accurate.
Database Verification:
Manually validate API responses by writing and executing MySQL queries to ensure data integrity.
Frontend & State Testing:
Verify that data displayed on the React frontend—including Redux state—perfectly matches the backend response.
Code-Level Debugging:
Read and debug Type Script and JavaScript code to understand logic and identify the root cause of defects.
Test Documentation:
Develop and maintain detailed test cases covering specific modules, end-to-end workflows, and complex business logic.
Edge Case Analysis:
Rigorously test "happy paths" and edge cases, including UUID formats, decimal precision, boolean logic, and complex pagination/filtering.
Financial & Report Accuracy:
Cross-check system-generated reports and totals against database values to ensure 100% mathematical accuracy.
Access Control Testing:
Verify Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) across various levels (Admin, Sales, Accounts, Manager).
Bug Life Cycle Management:
Log and track bugs with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, and "Expected vs. Actual" results.

Technical Requirements
Postman:
Expert-level proficiency in API testing, collection runner, and environment management.
SQL Mastery:
Strong ability to write complex MySQL queries to fetch and verify data.
Web Technologies:
Solid understanding of JSON, REST architecture, and HTTP methods.
Frontend Literacy:
Practical understanding of React applications and how data flows through Redux.
Code Proficiency:
Hands-on experience reading and debugging Type Script and Node.js (Express) backend code.
Analytical Thinking:
High attention to detail with the ability to spot subtle data discrepancies.

Bonus Skills
Previous experience testing complex ERP or CRM systems.
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks.
Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Education
B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science or related field.
