Software Engineer, Digital Media ​/ Production, UI​/UX Design

Location: Remote (UK-based) – ad hoc travel may be required

Amber Labs is a specialist consultancy delivering high-quality digital services across the public and private sectors. This role suits someone comfortable working in agile, multidisciplinary teams and passionate about clean code, test-driven development, and inclusive design.

• Develop and maintain frontend applications using Vue.js (or React, with willingness to pick up Vue.js and Nuxt quickly)
• Apply Test Driven Development (TDD) practices, including unit testing and content verification testing
• Build accessible user interfaces in line with WCAG and GDS standards
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, QA, and product managers in agile delivery teams
• Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement
• Support delivery of services that meet UK central government standards and best practices
• Commercial experience with Vue.js or React
  , with the ability to quickly learn Vue.js and Nuxt
• Experience working with Test Driven Development
• Proven experience developing accessible frontends
• Familiarity with agile delivery environments (Scrum/Kanban)
• Ability to work remotely with occasional travel when required
