Required Skills

Experience in a cloud production support or system reliability role, hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Monitoring (Stackdriver), Cloud Logging, and Cloud Storage.
Proficient in using monitoring tools like Cloud Monitoring, Stackdriver or similar to track system performance
Strong understanding of system performance metrics (e.g., CPU, memory, disk, network) and how to diagnose and resolve related issues.

Experience with incident management and troubleshooting production systems in a live environment.
Proficient in scripting or automating tasks using tools like Bash, Python, or similar

Voice over IP (VoIP) Protocols (SIP, WebRTC, RTP, SRTP)

Session Border Controllers (SBCs) configuration and troubleshooting (e.g., Ribbon, Oracle, Audio Codes)

Quality of Service (QoS) implementation and optimization for voice traffic

Network fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VRF, routing, switching) relevant to voice traffic flow

IP Telephony troubleshooting methodologies and tools (Wireshark, network analyzers)

Dial Plan design and implementation (E.164, numbering plans, call routing logic)

Voice security best practices and implementation (TLS, SRTP, firewalls)

Scripting and Automation for voice system management (e.g., Power Shell for Teams, Python for APIs)

Contact Center technologies (ACD, IVR) integration and support

Gateway configuration (analog, digital, SIP trunks) and media codecs (G.711, G.729)
Systems and Network Integration:
Proven experience integrating VoIP and Unified Communication platforms with cloud-native and hybrid environments.
Protocol Expertise:
Strong understanding of VoIP/UC and web protocols including SIP, RTP, HTTP, DNS, and their role in real-time communications and service reliability.
Network Engineering:
Mid-level proficiency in IP switching and routing, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and optimizing network paths in production environments.

Certificate

Look for certifications like CCNA:
Collaboration or CompTIA Network+, to validate foundational knowledge in networking and VoIP.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
