Overview
The SAP SD Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) solutions to meet business requirements. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical resources to ensure seamless execution of sales processes, order management, pricing, billing, and logistics functions within SAP.
Responsibilities- Lead and support end-to-end SAP SD implementations, enhancements, and rollouts.
- Analyze business needs and translate them into functional requirements and SAP SD configurations.
- Configure core SD components including Order-to-Cash (OTC), pricing, billing, shipping, credit management, and delivery processing.
- Ensure integration with other SAP modules such as MM, FI, WM, and PP.
- Conduct system testing (unit, integration, regression, and UAT) and support defect resolution.
- Prepare functional documentation, process flows, test scripts, and configuration guides.
- Collaborate with technical teams on interfaces, enhancements, and custom developments (ABAP).
- Support master data activities for customers, materials, pricing conditions, and output determination.
- Deliver user training and knowledge transfer to business teams.
- Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on SAP SD processes and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP SD configuration and support.
- Strong knowledge of Order-to-Cash processes.
- Experience with SAP ECC or S/4
HANA (preferred). - Understanding of cross-module integration (FI, MM, WM, PP).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and work effectively with global teams.
- Experience with SAP S/4
HANA simplification items. - Knowledge of EDI, IDocs, and integration with external systems.
- SAP SD Certification.
