Overview
The Informatics Solutions Engineer will provide programming and technical support for clinical application systems with development and maintenance of projects. This will include support of programs and systems related to the electronic health record and other clinical applications and software that support clinical care. This role has a commitment to clinical staff and departments, as well as across the Health Informatics and Technology (HIT) division and the Information Technology (IT) department to provide clear communication, collaboration and expertise in the technical aspects of software management.
The Informatics Solutions Engineer role also provides technical support to HIT analysts and leads small projects and/or technology initiatives through all phases of systems development including planning, development, implementation and operation for complex computer projects while supporting the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of Children Mercy and the IT Department. This role will create and update system documentation including diagrams, technical schema, and project related documents and will work with the Senior Directors of HIT to keep them aware of changes or updates to the software systems.
Experience in Omnicell highly preferred.

- Serves as a Health Informatics resource for clinical departments
- Report progress, issues, and project details to supervisor
- Bachelor s Degree in Health Informatics or related degree, and 3-5 years experience. Experience in the support, development, and management of Healthcare IT. OR
- High School diploma, or equivalent, or Associates degree and 7 or more years experience may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor s Degree.
- Experience in Omnicell highly preferred
- CPHIMS (HIMSS) Preferred
- At least one application-specific Epic certification relevant to the department (determined by role leadership) preferred

Starting PayOur pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $37.71/hr, but your salaried offer will be determined based upon your education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from HomeThis is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Children’s Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
