What You’ll Bring
Trans Union is seeking a Digital Asset Management (DAM) expert to lead the organization governance and optimization of digital assets. As part of the Brand & Creative Team and partnering with the Web Team you’ll manage the DAM system developing metadata schemas enforcing governance and ensuring smooth integration with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites. This role supports creative workflows drives efficient asset reuse and ensures compliance with brand legal and accessibility standards.
You’ll collaborate across teams to align asset management with publishing and digital strategy while proactively addressing governance issues.
What You’ll Do Digital Asset Stewardship
- Administer and maintain the DAM system for optimal organization accessibility and performance.
- Develop and enforce metadata schemas, taxonomy tagging and asset lifecycle policies.
- Conduct audits to ensure asset accuracy compliance and relevance.
- Enforce standards and escalate recurring governance issues.
- Evolve metadata structures to meet changing business needs and improve discoverability.
- Partner with the Web Team to manage asset deployment in AEM Sites.
- Ensure assets are properly tagged, linked and optimized for web use.
- Troubleshoot AEM asset issues and support content authors and developers.
- Align asset workflows with publishing timelines and content strategy.
- Collaborate with global marketing and creative teams to ingest and catalog assets.
- Train team members on DAM best practices and governance.
- Facilitate efficient asset retrieval and reuse across campaigns.
- Maintain rights management and usage guidelines for licensed and proprietary content.
- Ensure adherence to brand and accessibility standards.
- Monitor asset usage and governance compliance recommending improvements as needed.
- 3 years of experience managing a DAM system preferably AEM within a creative or marketing environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) especially in asset management and site integration.
- Strong understanding of metadata schema design taxonomy and digital asset workflows.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with creative marketing and web teams.
- Excellent organizational communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with digital rights management accessibility standards and brand governance.
- Experience with AEM Sites and / or AEM Assets module (professional certification highly preferred).
- Knowledge of UX / UI principles and web publishing workflows.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. Workfront Jira) and creative platforms (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud).
- Basic understanding of HTML / CSS is a plus.

You can be based anywhere in South Africa that has fibre but will not be able to work in a location outside of South Africa.
A Minimum of a 100 Meg Fibre line is required; should you be successful you will need to upgrade your line or install fibre in order to work effectively.
This is a remote position which may require occasional in‑person attendance at work‑related events at the discretion of management.
