Digital Solutions Architect; Remote, NC

Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in North Carolina. This position leads architecture and technical design activities in support of specific solution development projects. Works closely with business units and associates to identify development solutions that are cost-effective, efficient, and meet business needs. Collaborates on the technical design of artifacts, ensuring compliance and documentation of all applicable standards.

Ensures quality results and timely completion of project tasks. Utilizes expertise to provide guidance on the design, interface requirements, and technology of developed solutions.

• Solution Development – Collaborates with a team of associates assigned solution development projects.
• Recommends technology solutions, an application programming and integration solution through research on alternative options. As needed, troubleshoots deployment issues, develops programs, integrates solutions, and performs other tasks related to technical design.
• Consultation – Provides consultation to the business unit, management, and associates on all phases of integration systems development and processes. Acts as a trusted advisor on strategies and approaches for overall integration of technology components.
• Project Coordination – Ensures project tasks are completed on time and with a high degree of quality. Collaborates with other team members on detailed application design, development, and integration testing.
• Technical Expertise – Maintains a strong understanding of available technology, tools, and designs in order to provide consultation and leverage technologies within the Bank. Offers direction, training, and guidance for less experienced staff.

Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience in Software application development OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Software application development

• 15+ years architecture experience
• Deep Domain Data Design
• Event-driven patterns
• Microservices decomposition expertise
• API contract versioning
• Cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform)
• Security architecture understanding
• Cross-domain dependency management
• Experience leading ADRs
• Strong communication + influence skills

• Experience modernizing legacy platforms
• Banking/fintech knowledge, someone who can set standards, not just build diagrams.
